Askos Pitcher

Inspired by the shape of the little Ancient Greek urns used for oils and unguents, the Askos jug was designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1986. It stands out for the contrast between the roundness of the continuous surfaces on the lower and more capacious part and the clean oblique cut at the end of the arched handle.

A graceful yet complex product made entirely by hand in mouth-blown glass that has subsequently been acid-etched, a process that requires all the expertise of the master glassmakers. Read more
